Introducing
Silk Caye
Silk Caye is a tiny, picture-perfect island off the coast of southern Belize, located about 36 km (22 miles) east of Placencia on the Belize Barrier Reef. It’s part of the Gladden Spit and Silk Cayes Marine Reserve, a protected area known for clear turquoise waters, vibrant coral reefs, and abundant marine life. Visitors often enjoy snorkeling and diving around the cayes, spotting sea turtles, nurse sharks, rays, and colorful reef fish, and relaxing on soft white-sand beaches — making it a classic Belize day-trip destination.
