The majestic whale shark visits the Gladden Spit area from March through June to feed on abundant fish spawn. This unique reef formation, known as “the Elbow,” hosts mass spawning events—especially by mutton and cubera snappers—which attract whale sharks each year. Sightings aren’t guaranteed, but when they happen, the experience is truly unforgettable.
